My first step into the beauty industry was through makeup, starting as a self-taught makeup artist in editorial and fashion media. With no previous experience and not a single contact, just one big dream. Learning by doing, I soon discovered you can't fake it until you make it (or only fake so much!), and I learned the hard way how important education is! After much frustration trying to find suitable training back home, I decided to go to London to study at AOFM (The Academy of Freelance Makeup). It was there that I first began learning proper hairstyling from incredibly talented hairstylists who worked with clients and celebrities all over the world.
This experience sparked my curiosity, especially after seeing how in control and creative I could be with the whole beauty look. Fifteen years later and numerous courses taken by the world’s best-renowned hairstylists, I’ve honed my skills, built one of the biggest bridal beauty teams and become one of the most sought-after wedding makeup artists and hairstylists in the area.
I wasn't a natural, no superpowers here! I was armed only with crazy determination and thirst for knowledge. Taking the path of a dual beauty specialist was not an easy one ... it was paved with envy from working peers (people will resent you when you start to stand out from the crowd), some disasters (sometimes you concentrate so much on one thing where you lack experience that you mess up the one where you are actually good!), and insecurity (which fades with time and experience).
I could not walk that path without very good business skills. Apparently, I know a thing or two, as my business has weathered a major economic crisis, a pandemic, and several significant life changes in over a decade. But what I missed the most during this exciting (and, at times, exhausting!) journey was the lack of discussion about the mental health and physical toll that the fast-paced and highly competitive beauty industry places on our bodies. Surprisingly, that turned out to be the hardest part, and I am still learning.
I wish someone had told me sooner that there are better ways. But there are! It is time to pay it forward.

Under the guidance of yoga teacher Taja from "Zgibka - Zibelka giba in diha" we will start our day refreshed and focused, feeling rejuvenated and ready for workshops.

We will learn a variety of methods for preventing stress on the body and burnout, that can still be effective and helpful even after years of working in the beauty industry. Starting with practical body exercises to breathing techniques that help us stay calm in difficult situations.

You have a standalone option of booking only the theoretical session taking place on February 7, 2025. The whole experience will not be as immersive as the hands-on class; nevertheless, you will learn plenty of new hairstyling techniques, discover the most demanded bridal styles, and gain insights into the foundational methods for preparing and styling hair for weddings and special occasions.
For the reservation of the full course, a payment option in two installments is available. The first installment is due on January 3, 2025, and the second on February 3, 2025.
